Privacy, in plain words.

The waitlist

If you join, we store your email address, signup date, and the version of the consent notice you accepted. We use these to keep the waitlist and contact you about BetterDesk’s launch. Joining is optional. We do not sell your email address or use it for third-party advertising.

The waitlist is stored in PostgreSQL on Railway. Only the BetterDesk service and authorized project administrators can access it. Email addresses and private removal links are not written into application logs.

You can withdraw by opening the private removal link shown after your original signup. Keep that link: it authorizes removal of your entry. We delete the active database entry when you confirm removal; infrastructure backups, if configured, may retain older copies until they expire. Launch emails will include an unsubscribe option before any mailing system is enabled.

This website

We do not add analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels. Fonts and page assets are served with the website. The signup form sends the information you enter to api.betterdesk.dev.

Vercel hosts the website and Railway hosts its API. They process technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service and may retain operational logs. Read Vercel’s privacy policy and Railway’s privacy policy.

The apps

No app downloads are currently offered here. The current local development build requires permission to share a screen. BetterDesk does not record sessions, automatically read your clipboard, or upload usage analytics. We will update this notice before a public internet app release.
